Must Have Back To School Checklist For Teen Girls + Free Printable
We’ve been picking up a few back to school supplies when shopping. But, the majority of our list will have to wait until after Sammie’s school classes are posted at the high school. Today we are sharing several back-to-school checklist free printables.
There are certain things that are a must for her backpack and locker all year long. Along with at her desk at home for all the studying she has to do in AP high school classes. We thought we’d share our checklist of must-have back to school supplies for teen girls that are great all year long. Plus three free printables at the end of the post for your back to school shopping checklists. And one free blank checklist with checkboxes.
Whether you are stocking up now or later use the checklists to keep you at the top of your game and prepared for school.
Checklist For High School Teen Girls
Supplies for the locker:
- Lint brush
- Makeup bag ( fill it with personal supplies listed below)
- Deodorant
- Chapstick
- Sunscreen (See this post about our new favorite sunscreen products. Plus grab a discount.)
- Face Cleaning Towelettes
- Hairbrush
- Hair Ties
- Bobby Pins
- Tampons or Ultra Thin Pads
- Gym clothes (usually sold by the school or given the required list)
- Sweat Shirt (Crew Neck) Sweat Shirt With Hoodie
- Sweat Pants
- Running shoes
- Drawstring bag for dirty clothes
Mark gym clothes, backpacks, and other items with her name. The perfect marker for that is the Sharpie Extreme. It’s permanent and fade-resistant. If you like me you don’t want to have to buy those expensive items more than once a year at the most.
Gym Clothes aren’t what they used to be. She can have any grey sweatshirts and sweatpants to go with her gym shorts. This makes it easy to stay on budget and look fashionable at the same time.
Supplies for the backpack
- Notebooks for each class (college-ruled)
- Sharpie retractable highlighter pens
- Pens and Pencils
- Hand Sanitizer (travel-size jelly wrap)
- Post It Notes
- Post It Page Markers
- Glue sticks and Scotch tape
- Scientific Calculator (like this or this – Scientific Calculator depending on the classes you have)
- 15 pieces compass set
- Cell Phone
- Water bottle
- travel tissues
Sammie loves a larger highlighting pen with a medium tip. The Sharpie Clear View is a smear-resistant ink that works well for projects and for creating study guides.
Sammie already has had homework for the core classes she’s had to do for her AP high school classes over the summer.
Sharpie Highlighters help her keep up with schoolwork organization. She only has 48 more pages to go, whew! This makes me glad I’m not in high school or college anymore. I like Sharpies for when I do my bookkeeping and journaling. Win/win

For hand sanitizers; I opt for grabbing a sanitizer kit when the school year starts. This keeps me hoping we can stay a bit more germ-free. It comes with hands and face wipes too. We start at least having 2 for Sam and one for me; one for her lunch bag, one for her backpack, and one in my purse. What about you?
