Steak Marinade Recipe Easy, Flavorful
Steak Marinade Recipe: We kicked off grilling season a bit early with a Grilled Steak Marinade. Have you grilled or barbecued yet this grilling season? Lucky for us, warmer weather comes sooner. We can pull out the grill, clean it off, and get cooking on it. This is a flavorful marinated steak. It is the perfect way to marinate your steaks. Steak Marinade
With a few groceries and pantry staples to make the marinade. Ingredients for steak marinade
- Steaks (rib eye or tri tip or both)
- Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil
- Fresh Garlic Cloves
- Basil
- Green Onion
- Italian Parsley
- Salt and Pepper
How to Make Steak Marinade
First, grab your fresh basil, wash and chop about a half cup. Next, peel the 4 garlic cloves and crush
them.
Salt and Pepper your steaks.
Add your crushed garlic to the steak.
Next, Drizzle Malaysian Palm Oil over steaks. Why palm oil? Palm oil is non-GMO and ideal for high-temperature cooking.
Add the chopped basil.
Wash and chop your green onion and Italian parsley. (1/8 cup each) Add them to your steak. If you like today’s recipe, you’ll probably enjoy our Grilled Carne Asada recipe!
How long do you marinate your steak?
Next, cover steak on a dish with saran, and let steak marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes to 2 hours. The longer, the better. We left ours for 2 hours. Take it out before you are ready to grill.
How long do you grill your steak?
Heat your grills, and grill to rare, medium rare, medium well, or well done. Grill to your preference.Grilling Times For Steak
- Rare Steak – 125°F
- Medium Rare Steak – 130°F -135°F
- Medium Well Done Steak – 140-150°F
- Well Done – 160°F
Use a meat thermometer to get to the minimum internal temperature (145°F recommended) and above. We grilled them for 8 -10 minutes on each side for medium well. Thinner steaks will cook quickly.
For all the steaks, you will need to let the meat rest. The marinade (chopped veggies) should just fall off when grilling, leaving only the flavors. Grilling steak doesn’t get any easier than this!
Let the Steak Rest Before Slicing!
Let the steak rest 5- 10 minutes before slicing on the diagonal.
Oh, man, the steaks were so tender and good. If you like steak, then you will enjoy this grilled steak marinade any time you’re ready to barbecue this season.
If you aren’t having grill weather and don’t have an indoor grill. You might try broiling the steak. Use a broiler pan. Preheat the oven to 550°F or as high as your broiler will go. Allow for circulation. Watch closely and flip the steak carefully. Cook to your desired doneness. Remember, carry-over cooking will continue after you remove the meat from the broiler, and let the steak meat rest.

Steak Marinade
Ingredients
- Steaks rib eye or tri tip or both 4-6 pieces
- Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil
- Fresh Garlic Cloves 3-4
- Basil 1/2 cup
- Green Onion 1/8 cup
- Italian Parsley 1/8 cup
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions

Take your steak out of the package.

Lay in a glass baking dish or other container.

Lightly, salt and pepper the steaks.

Drizzle Palm Oil over steaks.

Wash your basil, green onion, and parsley off. Pat try, chop into small pieces.

Peel garlic, and press garlic.

Add ingredients to the top of the steak.

Put in fridge for 30 to 2 hours.

Let set out at room temperature prior to grilling.
Recipe Notes
Do not remove marinate from tops of steak. When you flip them they will fall of off and burn up while grilling. Continuing to flavor steaks.
Use a steak thermometer to get steaks to minimum required temp. for rare, and above.
