Easy Ham To Make And Serve Guests
Glazed Ham Pre-made and Pre-Sliced
- We received this CUREMASTER RESERVE® ham for free to sample. All thoughts, images, and opinions are our own.
To be honest, we don’t eat ham all the time, and typically, we reserve cooking hams for big family gatherings. I didn’t have to review this on our website but we enjoyed the ham so much I thought it might help someone who will be entertaining.
Since the ham is smoked, the directions for cooking the ham are super easy. I did get the top a little darker the first ham I tried only because I didn’t cover the top with foil for as long as I should have. I forget what I was doing that day. Thankfully, I caught it and finished the directions I included below. (My bad, but it made no difference to the taste. Only the overall results color of the outside skin.)
Note: When cooking, if it needs more time to warm up, make an aluminum foil tent to loosely cover the ham.
Why did we like this ham?
- Because this ham was so easy to make.
- Came with bone in, yet it was pre-sliced, which made plating and serving a breeze.
- The taste was so good, and the glaze was amazing!
We received a few glazes to pick from. I decided to try the honey mustard glaze on it. It was the perfect blend. Sweet but not overly sweet, thanks to the spicy brown mustard.

How do I cook the ham?
- For the CUREMASTER RESERVE® ham
Heat the oven to 275°F. A lower temperature ensures a juicy ham, unlike others you’ve had before. Remove the ham from the packaging and place it face-down in your baking pan. Add two cups of water to the pan and cover it with foil. For every pound, heat for 12 minutes. Once the ham is fully warmed to 140°F, it’s time to glaze. But first, remove the water from the pan. Approximate Oven Roasting Time at 275°F: two hours.
How long is leftover ham good?
Once this ham is heated, store leftovers in the refrigerator for three to five days. Or freeze it! Store in the freezer for one to two months (in freezer bags or a freezer-safe food storage container. Do this within two hours of sitting at room temperature.
When heating leftovers after they’ve been safely stored, reheat to 165°F.
I packaged the leftover ham into freezer bags, slicing leftovers and cutting cubes. Then, I cut the ham closer to the bone into cubes for meal plan recipes like soups. I’m thinking of making ham potato soup with the leftover cubed ham. Or a ham quiche. When you are done with this post, or if you are looking for other recipes to cook, check out this post with

For us, we always cook a turkey and a ham for Thanksgiving. Our family is big, and even without everyone there. The head count for our celebrations has gotten as high as 20 people. And when we have even more guests, I’ve cooked my lasagna, too.
