Taking a bath, soaking in the tub after your fizzes have dissolved in the water will make your skin so soft and you feel so relaxed. Are you ready to get started making bath bombs?

If you have made bath bombs before you probably have some of the supplies on hand. If not you will have extra for making other bath bombs when you get your bath bomb making supplies. The alternative if you want to try making before investing in bath bomb supplies is by first trying a bath bomb kit. Of course it won’t make these but, Pin it for when your ready to try this bath bomb recipe.

Pink Glitter Bath Bombs Recipe

Bath Bomb Making Supplies

2 cups baking soda
1 cup citric acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup cream of tartar
1 tablespoon Epsom salts
1/3 cup coconut oil (melted or solid. Both work!)
2 tablespoons avocado butter
1 tablespoon polysorbate 80
1 teaspoon pink champagne fragrance oil (relax in luxury!) Or scent it with your favorite essential oils.
Light pink colored mica powder (I get mine on Amazon)
Cosmetic glitter (I mixed two colors together; Downtown Disguise and Silver Promise)
Bath bomb molds
2-3 cubes of white melt and pour soap base (organic)
*Dry glitter sprayer
Spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol
1 large mixing bowl
1 small bowl
whisk

HOW TO MAKE BATH BOMBS

Steps 1-5 for the bath bombs recipe

In a large mixing bowl, add the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, cream of tartar and Epsom salts.

Steps 6-7: Add coconut oil. This binds all the ingredients together, so you bath bombs don’t crumble when you touch them! Add avocado butter for extra moisturized skin!

Steps 8-9: Add the polysorbate 80. This helps the coconut oil disperse more evenly in your bath water, makes the bath bombs bubbly and prevents the mica from sticking to the side of the tub. Add the scented oil.

Step 10: Whisk ingredients together.

Step 11: The mixture is perfect when it holds together when you press it into your hands and feels like wet sand.

Steps 12: Add the mica color powder and mix well.

*Step 13: Add glitter(s) and mix in. (while you have the glitter out, go ahead and fill your spray bottle if you have one. If not, no worries!)

Step 14: Take one mold and fill each side with the mixture until it is a bit over-flowing.

Steps 15-16: Press both sides together, using a twisting/grinding motion to get rid of any excess mixture. Gently tap each side and carefully remove the bomb. As you progress through making the bath bombs, you may need to spray them with the rubbing alcohol to moisten them, so they bind together. Allow the bath bombs to dry a minimum of 24 hours. My rule of thumb is that when it is hard to the touch, they are ready for the final stage…the glaze!

Step 17: Place soap cubes into a microwave safe bowl and melt for 30 seconds and stir. Continue to melt in 30 second intervals until completely melted.

Step 18: Use a clean, small squeeze bottle or spoon, drizzle the soap over the bombs.

Step 19: Before the soap hardens too much, spray the glitter onto the bath bomb. If you do not have a sprayer, you can just sprinkle the glitter on.
