DIY Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub
With five simple ingredients, you can make this homemade pumpkin sugar scrub! Then, take off your rings and wash your hands with it. It leaves them so soft and with the perfect amount of oil left on your skin after rinsing. Ladies, this doesn’t disappoint. This scent is one men who have dry hands will love too.
You can change the scent of this recipe to fit any season by switching out the essential oils and omitting the pumpkin spice! The steps and amounts will be the same. Adapt this simple sugar scrub recipe to your liking. This makes this beauty recipe perfect for homemade gift ideas and DIY gifts.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons of Viva Naturals Sweet Almond Oil
- 1/4 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup of Granulated Sugar
- 2 tablespoons of Pumpkin Spice
- 10 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil
Or get an essential oil set like this to make other scents. I have this set of 16 essential oils and used the cinnamon from it.) Sweet almond oil makes a great carrier oil for beauty recipes.
DIY Sugar Scrub
Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub
You will need a clean bowl for mixing. A spatula, measuring cups, and measuring spoons. 1-2 clean jars with a lid. Plus the ingredients.
Make sure your hands are clean when making scrubs and/or use gloves like these.
How To Make Sugar Scrub
- In a bowl add the sweet almond oil and 10 drops of cinnamon essential oil.
- Next add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons of the pumpkin spice.
- Mix together until combined well.
- Add 1-2 more tablespoons of sweet almond oil to achieve your desired consistency.
- After, add it by scooping it into 1 or 2 jars and secure it with lids.
If you adapt the recipe to another scent. You may have to add a few more drops of essential oils. I’ve read for every ounce of product add 5 drops of essential oils.
How To Use Sugar Scrub
To use the sugar scrub use a clean spoon or hands to get the scrub from the jar. Wet your hands and scrub it with the mixture. Rinse your hands and pat dry with a towel or kitchen towel. It will leave a light amount of the oil on the skin, which absorbs into the skin nourishing them. It’s also great for use in the shower on your arms, elbow, legs, feet, and heels to soften the skin.
