  1. Start with one excited Halloween trick-or-treater *with a clean, dry face. Give yourself at least 1 hour to allow for breaks… for smaller kids, more breaks or time may be needed. Have them dress up in their Vampire costume (and drape a cover over it while you apply the makeup).
  2. Put on a hair cap (included with a wig or get one). Add a black wig onto the cap, after makeup is applied.
  3. Apply a light coat of white cake makeup, darken around the eyes and cheeks & forehead  where you want a recesses or deathly look
  4. Apply more white cake makeup
  5. Continue to darken around eyes and pencil in eyebrows darkly. Add deep brown/red, or red/black lipstick. I also applied a light red glitter around the top of the eyelid area. Note: steer away from eyes.
  6. Apply fake blood to the nearest edges of the mouth and allow it to drip naturally. If you/or your child places their chin down it will get a blood stain on your neck like you just took a bite!
  7.  A light powder brushed on like this finishing powder or something like Benifit’s feather light mineral veil will give skin a finish plus a light glow.
  8. Prep kids by telling them not to touch their faces!
  9. Of course, if you/they are older you can do the makeup scarier. That is if you dare.
  10. NOTE: Have make-up remover wipes on hand for after!! Then ensure they fully wash their faces after the makeup remover!!

  1. Very convincing! 🙂 Thanks for dropping by my poll. I realized and mentioned after your comment that the poll doesn’t have any traditional, “scary” Halloween costumes as an option – you can tell I have very young children, I guess!
