We enjoy candy making and have tried a few homemade candy recipes over the years. Typically, I make truffles for holidays such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, celebrations, birthdays, and special occasions such as baby showers…
Over the holiday season, I tried a little more candy-making. You may remember when I shared the chocolate-covered cherries I made. We got the recipe from a candy-making cookbook we reviewed, they were so good! The Cookbook I used is at the end of the post.

We are co-hosting a baby shower, then Valentine’s Day is coming up which is perfect for making these truffles to share. The fun thing about making candy is besides making them, eating and sharing the sweet treats.

Helpful Kitchen Supplies To Own For Making Candy at Home
These are common supplies for candy making. For this particular recipe, you really don’t need that many supplies.
You will need these kitchen tools
A bowl, forks, food processor, and sheet pan. But you can use a good blender or plastic bag with a rolling pin to crush the cookies. Having a food processor will speed up the crushing and blending of the cookies.
Crush the entire package of Oreos into a bowl (or blender).
Mix in a softened package of cream cheese.
Shape the Oreo mixture into balls and place them on the wax paper.
Freeze for 10-15 minutes to help the Oreo truffles survive being dumped into the candy melts.
In a bowl, melt your package of candy melts. Microwave for 1 minute and then stir until smooth. Microwave in additional 30-second intervals if it is needed.
One at a time drop Oreo truffles into the candy melts, coat, and then use both forks to remove with ease. Then, add them to wax paper and top with sprinkles immediately.
Allow the candy melts to harden and serve.

Oreo Truffles recipe for no-bake Oreo Truffle balls. The candy recipe is easy to make or adapt for holidays or other celebrations by using different colored candy melts and seasonal sprinkles.

Ingredients
1 Package of Oreos regular, double stuffed should be avoided
8 ounces Cream Cheese
Wilton Candy Melts Red and Pink or other colors
Candy Sprinkles
Wax Paper
Instructions
1. Crush the entire package of Oreos into a bowl (or blender)
2. Mix in a softened package of cream cheese.
3. Shape the Oreo mixture into balls and place them on the wax paper.
4. Freeze for 10-15 minutes to help the Oreo truffles survive being dumped into the candy melts.
5. In a bowl melt your package of candy melts. Microwave for 1 minute and then stir until smooth. Microwave in additional 30-second intervals if it is needed.
6. One at a time drop Oreo truffles into the candy melts, coat, and then use both forks to remove with ease. Add to wax paper and top with sprinkles immediately.
7. Allow candy melts to harden and serve.
Notes
Avoid using Double Stuffed Oreos for the recipe.
Needed tools: Forks, large bowl, sheet pan/baking sheet, wax paper or parchment paper.
Truffle balls yield may vary based on the size you make your truffle balls.
