You only need a few ingredients to make cherry tarts with puff pastry. You’ll being kicking up your cherry tarts a k-notch I guarantee you by adding this hazelnut spread. Ingredients you’ll need

  1. Puff Pastry Sheets Find this in the freezer section at your grocery store. (1 or 2 depending on how big you make them, and how many your serving) They come 2 sheets to a package. 
  2. Once Again Nut Butter Amoré Hazelnut Spread
  3. Maraschino Cherries 
  4. Powdered Sugar 

Kitchen tools you’ll need

  1. Sheet pan
  2. Siplat or Parchment paper
  3. Pastry brush
  4. Teaspoon

Directions for making cherry tarts 

  1. Defrost your puff pastry according to package directions.
  2. Pre heat your oven to 400 degrees.
  3. Pull off any cherry stems, your cherries should be pitted already.
  4. Chop them into little pieces, and place them in a bowl. Reserve some juices for later.
  5. Cut your puff pastry into 6 or 12 rectangles depending on the size you want your tarts. 
  6. Add your chopped cherries in the center of every other puff pastry 
  7. Drizzle Amoré Hazelnut Spread over the tops of the cherries
  8. Take your pastry brush and spread some cherry juice around the edges of the pastry
  9. Top with the pastry puff with no cherries
  10. Crimp with a fork together
  11. Brush cherry juice on top
  12. Bake according to directions about 15 minutes at 400 degrees. 
  13. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
  14. Drizzle chocolate over the top
  15. Serve when ready! 

If you are keeping your cherry tarts for later, let them completely cool then cover with foil or saran wrap gently. Keep them cool.
