Clean It! Organize It! Check it Off! DIY Organization & Printable Round-Up
Whether you are cleaning up messes from crafting, cooking… or cleaning up the house to get crafting. Being more organized in your home will save you time and have your space looking neater. Great organization is always worth having. If you put organization on your resolution this year listen up! Today I am going to share a round up of posts, articles, tips and printables that will help you get organized and back to creating in a snap! These are diy’s and organization ideas that anyone can do.
Often times we all say we will get organized and never do. Breaking it up into bite sized diy’s and reading tips on how to simplify might just make this the year you finally have organization!
Make sure to make it to the end of the post some of the best diy s and organization posts can show up last.
Whether it’s games, movies, photographs, back up CDs, this diy will have your dvds organized and finally you’ll be able to find what your looking for. I don’t know how many times the Mr. has said have you seen the back up CD? Yes! I also love Samanthas diy art caddy. My Sammie actually made one in her Exploratory Class at Middle School. (of course with help of someone cutting the wood) Sammie uses it all the time and has it on her desk. Maybe you’d like to make one too?
Seriously these can be used for so many purposes. Can’t you just see yourself having your most handy craft items stored in one? Thanks to Samantha of Simply Organized for these useful diy projects.
Plastic Bag Rolling and Container DIY
I don’t know about you but my plastic bags used to grow until my broom closet was full. Even though we now only use reusable bags there are still times we receive plastic. This solution by Krista of Far From Normal is perfect, as she shares how to not only make the container but, fold the bags so they pull out properly popping up the next. Perfect for storing in your craft rooms too for when you need to pick up or clean up from a project.
Leslie of The Seasoned Homemaker shares step by step how to create these homemade paper towels. She uses a serger but, there are alternatives for the basic overlock stitching, as follows below. You can use these examples to help you complete this project without a serger. It’s all straight stitching and would be a fairly easy project if new to sewing. A great gift for new home owners, moms, crafters or just for your spring cleaning!
- If you have an overlock stitch on your machine just set it to the settings and use example here
- If you want you can buy an sewing foot attachment that will create the same results with the lock sewer attachment example here
- Or you can use a plain straight stitch first and then a zig zag on the edge example here
