How to cook chicken for nachos
You’ll need 3-4 chicken breasts, garlic, an onion and jalapeno peppers or a poblano pepper and olive oil to prepare the chicken. You will also need paprika and pepper, which you’ll just sprinkle on the chicken.
- Add olive oil to your skillet and place on medium temperature
- Then add your chicken breasts
- Sprinkle with paprika and pepper, as shown in image
- Next cook it about 10 minutes or so until you can see it’s halfway cooked (lower the heat if needed slightly)
Once it’s to the mid way point flip the chicken over. Next add half a chopped onion, 3 chopped garlic cloves, your chopped jalapeno. Then sprinkle with paprika and pepper. Finish cooking until it meets the standard internal cooking temperature for chicken. (165 degrees)
When fully cooked cut into bite size pieces. I only used a few chicken breasts and saved the rest for another recipe since there is only three of us.

Hi Sara, Thanks for stopping by, for some reason it feels like that when we recover from something where we have to rest all the time. Thanks for the compliment.
I love the idea of making these in a cast iron skillet. Everything is better in cast iron, right? My family will love this!
