This cake recipe is really easy to make! You combine the ingredients and dump them into a prepared 9 x 13 baking pan. After spreading, sprinkle over the batter chopped nuts and melted margarine (or butter). And bake.

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounces) can of pumpkin puree
- 1 (12 fluid ounces) can evaporated milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (18.25 ounce) Package of yellow cake mix
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup Butter, melted (or margarine)
- 1 (8 ounces) container of frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees°. Lightly grease one 9×13 inch baking pan.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Mix well and spread into the prepared pan.
Step 3
Sprinkle cake mix over the top of the pumpkin mixture, and pat down. Do not mix! Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix. Then drizzle with the melted butter (or margarine).
Step 4
Bake for 60 to 80 minutes. Or until done. (Use a toothpick to test the center of the cake. When the toothpick comes clean after pulling it out, it is done).
