Strawberry Shortcake Yum, Yum, Yum!
Are you ready to make a strawberry dessert? I am sharing a yummy Strawberry Shortcake recipe I made. I spent Saturday at the farmer’s market, taking a few floral photographs and was treated to lunch. I love making easy desserts for Mother’s Day and other celebrations. You can make this anytime you have fresh strawberries.
When we picked up these strawberries I decided what baking recipe to make. This dessert is easy to make and quick to assemble. I cut the strawberry shortcake biscuits in half. You can add whipped cream to the top and layer the strawberries pretty. Top the layer with the top of the biscuit if you like. If you do give it an extra dollop of whip cream and add a berry to the center.
Strawberry Shortcake
My Sunday started out by getting to sleep in, then I helped Sammie work on a photo book for her report, and then made a lovely early dinner for his mom. I thought of my mom often during the weekend, since this is one of the first Mother’s days without her. When I cleaned out a drawer I came across a note from her, I had to save it. It’s amazing how sometimes things like that just happen. Almost like she was saying I hear you.
We had picked up 3 baskets of the biggest juiciest strawberries! When I was deciding on desserts having been at the farmer’s market, it was a no brainer. Strawberry Shortcake for the win! With a little research, I found a strawberry shortcake recipe that just reminded me of my grandmas.
But, if you are looking for something else to make here’s where to find all our Strawberry Recipes.
When I made it sure enough! Just moist enough, yet with a bit of biscuit taste, yet cake-like. Strong enough to hold a mountain of strawberries and whipped cream. The best part of the recipe for strawberry short-cake is quick and easy!
This dessert recipe would be perfect for Memorial weekend, Fourth of July or any summer gathering. Even add blueberries to the top to create a Patriotic dessert idea, make it a Patriotic dessert.
All I can say is yum, yum yum! This recipe is a keeper!
